The idea behind this site is to help people avoid making obviously stupid decisions.
For example, these could have avoided ridicule and expense had they simply consulted a 10-year-old boy. I am offering to be that 10-year-old.
Or maybe you’ve been on an all-night bender, and your friends have convinced you that you need a tattoo. I can be the friend will say, “Hmm, maybe we should wait until we’re sober.”
Failblog, DarwinAwards – there’s plenty of sites online dedicated to mocking the past stupidity of others. With this site, hopefully we can catch these boneheaded moves before they happen.
So here’s the deal: You send me your questions, and I will write a custom post on whether your idea is dumb or not. I will also provide a detailed explanation why your idea is dumb (or not dumb). I also promise not to reveal personally identifying information about you unless it is pertinent to the question (in which case, I will contact you for permission).
I am not going to promise you personal or commercial success. Companies pay thousands (sometimes millions) of dollars to consulting firms to ensure success. I will help you avoid obvious failure for free (at least for the time being).
Of course, there may be something in the news that sparks my interest – I may offer commentary on that subject as I see fit. Enjoy.
